Position Title: Vice President, Administration, Planning & Sales. Work Hours: 40 hours/week (8:00am-5:00pm).
Work Location: 139 Etowah Industrial Court, Canton, GA 30114. Annual Salary: $175,614/year.
Job Duties: Provide ongoing leadership on key projects and strategic guidance to the President on a variety of corporate matters. Formulate business goals and monitor and direct the implementation of strategic business plans. Direct and manage the day-to-day business activities of Administrative Planning, Sales, Costing and Metals Production Departments at Piolax US’s headquarters and plant facility located in Canton, Georgia. (1) Sales Management. Direct the Global Account Director/Sales Manager to execute global sales activities and ensure that the short and long-term business goals and objectives are met. Manage, develop and implement business plan based on sales performance and forecasts and ensure effective execution. Review production costs, monthly forecast and annual budget, and provide input and guidance to production planning to achieve sales goals. Direct and coordinate sales and metals production, supply and logistics with subsidiaries in the US, Mexico, and Japan. Review and analyze sales reports to prioritize business/production requirements and develop initiatives for business improvement. (2) Costing Management. Direct and manage the Costing Specialist and work with all departments to oversee the implementation of effective cost control procedures. Oversee cost negotiation with customers. Provide guidance to the Cost Department to achieve goals and ensure customers’ needs are satisfied. Lead constant communication with Japan Headquarters and Piolax Mexico to reduce total product costs by implementing continuous improvement in production processes and distribution system. (3) Metals Production & Quality Control Management. Direct the Metals Manager to manage activities of metals production. Establish production standards, communicate closely with management and executives to optimize production process, identify technical issues, develop solutions and suggest processing and staffing changes to enhance operational efficiency. Manage production budget and costs to ensure compliance with adopted budget decisions especially by monitoring costs of raw material, purchase parts, tooling and equipment from oversea and lead time schedule. Report monthly profit and loss statement for the Metal Department and improvement activities to Board members. (4) Administration & Planning. Understand the company’s overall performance through management meetings. Formulate management plans; implement corporate governance; enforce company regulations; respond to audits of various administrative departments; prepare management reports; collaborate with the parent company and group affiliates to provide support for executives, expatriates and overseas business travelers; manage various risks; and optimize expense management.
Position requires a Bachelor’s degree in business, economics, engineering, law or a related field. 5 years’ experience in coordinating manufacturing of metal and plastic auto parts with overseas plants in Japan, Mexico and the United States; and managing sales, product costing and import/export operation. 3 years’ experience in quality compliance (ISO 14000/TS16949 or newer version), internal audit, and risk management using integrated business management system (SAP) and corrective and preventive action (CAR) system. Ability to read, write and communicate business, technical and financial information in Japanese required. Travel required to visit the Michigan office quarterly for 1 week, to the parent in Japan once a year for 2 weeks.
